Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 August 2026. This page describes how Claque handles personal data for the app and the website at claque.me.
Who we are
Claque is a virtual split-flap board you run on devices you already have. The service is operated at claque.me. Questions about this policy: use the contact details on the Claque App Store listing.
What we collect
- Account. Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. We store the provider identity we need to keep you signed in, plus a display name when the provider shares one.
- Boards and messages. Board names, size, and the text people send so the board can flip. Invite codes and who accepted them.
- Session. An HttpOnly refresh cookie on the web so you stay signed in in this browser until you sign out.
- Subscriptions. If you buy Claque Plus, Apple tells us whether the subscription is active. We do not see your full payment card details — Apple processes payment.
How we use it
We use this information to run Claque: sign you in, deliver messages to boards you own or were invited to, enforce free-tier and Plus limits, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data or use board messages for advertising.
Who can see a board
Boards default to private. The owner and people they invite can send. The owner chooses whether current board contents are private or public. We do not publish your message history on the marketing site.
How long we keep it
Account, board, and message data stay while the account is open. Deleting your account removes your boards, messages, and invites from Claque. Apple may keep App Store records under Apple’s policies.
Processors
We host the service on Fly.io and store data in Postgres. Sign-in uses Apple, Google, or email as you choose. Claque Plus uses StoreKit and App Store Server Notifications.
Children
Claque is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
