Terms of Use
Last updated 31 August 2026. These terms apply to the Claque app and the website at claque.me.
The service
Claque lets you create a split-flap board, invite people to send messages, and optionally drive a physical display. The website is for trying a message, signing in, redeeming an invite, and sending to boards you already have. Creating a board happens in the Claque app.
Your account
You must sign in with Apple, Google, or email to send to a real board. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account in the app; that removes your boards and messages from Claque.
Boards and messages
Do not send unlawful, abusive, or unwanted messages. The board owner can revoke access. Messages are short text laid onto a split-flap grid — not a general-purpose social network or archive.
Free tier and Claque Plus
A free account can own one board and accept a small number of senders. Claque Plus is an auto-renewing App Store subscription that lifts those caps and unlocks a physical display. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple. If Plus lapses, extra boards freeze (no new flips) and we do not delete your data.
Acceptable use
Do not probe, scrape, or overload the service; do not impersonate others; and do not use Claque to send spam. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or harm other users.
Availability
We aim to keep Claque running, but the service is provided as available. Boards, the website, and physical displays may be interrupted for maintenance or outages.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
